Job Description

Lead Hardware Electrical Engineer Packet Digital Packet Digital is a fast-growing, collaborative company seeking a Lead Hardware Electrical Engineer to serve as both a technical expert and people leader. In this role, you'll lead electrical hardware development across multiple projects, guide and mentor engineers, and help shape our engineering processes and best practices. This position is ideal for an experienced electrical engineer who enjoys hands-on design work, team leadership, and driving high-quality product development. What You'll Do Lead and represent the hardware engineering team across projects Manage priorities, assign resources, and support project planning and quoting efforts Mentor and develop engineers through guidance, reviews, and performance feedback Oversee electrical design activities including requirements capture, architecture development, schematic capture, and PCB layout Lead or participate in design reviews and ensure designs meet quality and process standards Support product development through testing, troubleshooting, cost optimization, and manufacturing readiness Collaborate with program management, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams Help define, improve, and document engineering processes and best practices Support customer documentation and technical communication What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering 8+ years of related engineering experience Extensive PCB design experience Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and power supplies Excellent communication and leadership skills Deep understanding of best practices in product and hardware design Work Environment This is a full-time, on-site position at our main office.
