- Teledyne is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support new product design projects across the Lab and Field Instrumentation business segment.
- This position offers a high‑impact opportunity to shape both the technical direction of our products and the development of the engineering team.
- Responsibilities
- + Design and develop electronic hardware systems and subsystems, including architecture definition, analysis, and component selection + Deliver hardware designs from concept through prototype, validation, and production release in compliance with established product development and quality processes + Prepare and review schematics, technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation to ensure alignment with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and customer requirements + Develop and execute validation and verification plans, including functional, stress, environmental, performance, and compliance testing + Perform root cause analysis and failure investigations for development, production, and field issues; implement corrective and preventive actions + Design for manufacturability, testability, reliability, cost, and regulatory compliance in collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams + Interface with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and external test laboratories to support component qualification, production readiness, and compliance certification + Support the development of project SOWs, schedules, cost estimates, and risk mitigation plans to drive new product introduction activities including pilot builds, production ramp, and issue resolution + Communicate status and technical concepts to cross-functional stakeholders + Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers through consultation, design reviews, and day‑to‑day collaboration to build capability and ensure consistent engineering practices + Work evenings and weekends when necessary to meet critical milestones and business objectives •Education and Experience•Bachelor's degree (B.
