The client serves customers across the Midwest through a network of sales and support offices and partners with industry-leading automation manufacturers. Position Overview The client is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join its growing team. This role combines the technical expertise of an engineer with the relationship-building and consultative skills of a sales professional. You will work directly with customers to understand operational challenges and recommend automation solutions that improve productivity, efficiency, and performance. Key Responsibilities Develop new business opportunities through networking, market research, and vendor partnerships Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, OEMs, utilities, consultants, and system integrators Prepare quotations, process orders, and provide technical product support Deliver product demonstrations and present automation solutions tailored to customer requirements Travel throughout the assigned territory to support customers and identify new opportunities Stay current on emerging automation technologies, products, and industry trends Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field Experience with industrial automation technologies such as: PLCs VFDs Industrial Communications Industrial Software Motion Control Systems Strong understanding of engineering concepts and industrial processes Experience preparing technical presentations, proposals, and quotations Excellent communication, customer-facing, and relationship-building skills Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management abilities Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentives Comprehensive medical and benefits package Excellent retirement benefits Paid holidays, vacation, personal, and sick leave Company-provided vehicle, laptop, mobile phone, and business tools Collaborative team-oriented culture with strong growth opportunities Why Consider This Opportunity?
