Job Description
Hardware Design Engineer focused on hands-on board-level PCBA design, integration, lab bring-up, validation, and production transition support. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field 5+ years of relevant hardware engineering experience Experience with board-level hardware design and integration Experience designing and integrating PCBAs Experience working with processors, sensors, high-speed interfaces, and FPGA-based systems at the system or interface level Experience with schematic design, board design, design analysis, subsystem integration, or related board-level development work Experience with lab bring-up, hardware debug, validation, testing, and troubleshooting Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium, Cadence, Mentor Graphics, or equivalent Ability to support power design, manufacturing, test, and system-level trade activities as needed Ability to travel up to 10% Ability to obtain a Secret clearance U.S. citizenship required Preferred Skills Defense or government contractor experience Experience with power management or power design support Experience with DFM, DFT, and manufacturing support Experience with signal integrity, power integrity, and high-speed design practices Experience with ruggedized or mission-critical systems Experience supporting low-SWaP systems Experience transitioning hardware from concept through production Job Responsibilities Design and integrate PCBAs for board-level hardware systems Develop board-level hardware involving processors, sensors, high-speed interfaces, and FPGA integration Support FPGA-related hardware integration at the system and interface level Perform schematic design, board design support, design analysis, and subsystem integration Conduct lab-based hardware bring-up, debug, testing, and validation Troubleshoot board-level hardware, subsystem, and integration issues Support power design activities as needed Support manufacturing and test activities for hardware transition to production Provide system-level trade input for hardware design decisions Apply PCB design tools such as Altium, Cadence, or Mentor Graphics to support hardware development Support DFM, DFT, and production readiness activities Validate hardware performance against design and production requirements Maintain technical ownership of assigned hardware from concept through bring-up, validation, and transition to production
