Job Description

Mission of the Role This role exists to lead the design, development, and delivery of high-performance electrical systems that support Clear Align's advanced imaging and sensing solutions. The successful candidate will transform complex technical requirements into reliable, testable, and manufacturable designs, ensuring performance, reliability, and seamless system integration across mission-critical applications. You will play a critical role in driving product development, solving complex technical challenges, and advancing solutions that enable our customers to see clearly, decide faster, and act decisively. In Your First Year You Will (What Success Looks Like) First 30 Days
  • Develop a strong understanding of Clear Align's products, electrical architecture, and electrical requirements across active programs
  • Learn engineering workflows, documentation standards, active program structures, and CAD tools (Orcad, PADS)
  • Review existing designs and technical challenges to identify opportunities to contribute
  • Support schematic reviews, prototype builds, and lab-based validation activities
  • Build effective working relationships across interdisciplinary teams By 60 Days
  • Actively contributes to requirement definition, schematic design, component selection, and prototype development
  • Support development of test plans and design verification plans (DVPs)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integration challenges
  • Interface with external PCB layout vendors to support board development and design reviews
  • Apply hands-on lab skills to test, debug, and validate electrical systems By 90 Days
  • Independently contribute to electrical design and development
  • Execute design verification testing and analyze results
  • Deliver clear and well-organized engineering documentation
  • Solve complex technical challenges across performance and manufacturability
  • Improve design approaches, efficiency, and product quality By 12 Months
  • Lead or contribute to full electrical design lifecycle
  • Drive design decisions meeting performance and customer requirements
  • Serve as a trusted contributor across engineering teams
  • Support and mentor junior engineers

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of electrical engineering experience
  • Experience with schematic capture and hardware development
  • Experience with testing and design verification
  • Strong lab skills (oscilloscopes, soldering, troubleshooting)
  • Eligible for DoD security clearance Preferred Extras
  • Experience with imaging, optical, or EO/IR systems
  • Experience with OrCAD, PADS, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 and
MIL-STD-461
