Signal Integrity Engineer Location:
Nashua, NH Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEM's globally. Our global headquarters are located in Nashua, NH and we have design, sales and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking a Signal Integrity Engineer with our HSIO Connectors Team. The position will be located in Nashua, NH.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, simulation, characterization, and application of high speed electrical connectors and cable-based interconnect Component development as well as customer support on new product introduction Contribute to an established team of dedicated signal integrity engineers and engineers of other disciplines Share knowledge and pursue continuous improvement in methods and workflows Collaborate multi-disciplinary teams in the development of next generation high speed I/O interconnect products Assist with providing solutions to customers across a wide range of sectors with their high speed data transmission requirements Support the internal Sales Engineers to develop strategies for product break-in at existing and new accounts based on signal integrity and electrical engineering expertise Identify and resolve signal Integrity issues in PCB layout Design, build, and measure circuit boards for measurement and verification of products Apply circuit theory and high-speed digital transmission, PCB layout principles for high-speed digital design
QUALIFICATIONS
BS in Electrical Engineering, MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering is preferred 3 years of industry experience with an understanding of electro-magnetic principles for digital signal integrity Experience in component design and application of high speed connectors into communications equipment is a plus Experience with signal integrity measurements and debugging with TDR,VNA, pattern generators, error detectors and similar measurement equipment Experience with signal integrity and simulation/analysis tools such as Ansys HFSS and Designer, CST Microwave, HSPICE, MatLab, and ADS Hands-on experience with frequency-domain and time-domain component and circuit characterization including understanding of test and calibration methods
