Job Title:
Electrical Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with expertise in Electrical Design, MEP, and AutoCAD. This role involves working on diverse projects such as office spaces, restaurants, medical facilities, and industrial plants. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing electrical systems and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure project success. Responsibilities Use AutoCAD to design and prepare engineering and design documents, including mark-ups and production tasks. Prepare reports, including electrical evaluation and cost estimate reports. Coordinate and design electrical projects in conformance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned. Support engineering work functions. Conduct site visits and existing condition surveys. Communicate and coordinate with architects, owners, other engineering and MEP disciplines, vendors, building officials, and other consultants throughout the design phases. Conduct office construction administration, review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and coordinate with contractors and design teams. Assist with job site observations as necessary. Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments without direct supervision. Communicate effectively orally and in writing with clients. Assist with proposals, marketing, project reports, and technical presentations. Assist with scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks. Develop and complete applications, permits, engineering reports, and specifications. Attend and/or conduct client and project meetings, including pre-design, plan review, and pre-construction meetings. Prioritize effectively and adjust work accordingly to meet deadlines. Essential Skills 3+ years of experience as an electrical engineer with an MEP firm. Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit. Ability to design projects with limited guidance. Full proficiency with MEP Design, power distribution, and NEC Codes. Strong report writing ability. Proven coordination experience with external engineering trades and clients. Additional Skills & Qualifications 4+ years of experience as an electrical engineer with an MEP firm. Knowledge of lighting design and drafting. Experience in developing applications and permits. Knowledge of NEC codes. Work Environment Enjoy a very flexible work environment with no standard working hours, as long as you start your day before 9:30 am and work 40+ hours. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.07 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
