This role involves supporting the design, development, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and components across commercial, industrial, and domestic applications. The ideal candidate will contribute to continuous improvement and automation initiatives, with a focus on medium voltage systems and machine control systems including PLCs and servos. The engineer will work under general supervision while applying technical expertise to drive operational efficiency and system reliability. This position is critical to maintaining and advancing the client's industrial automation infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Address electrical challenges of moderate complexity and support engineering projects and processes under guidance from senior professionals. Conduct research and contribute to the planning, design, development, and testing of electrical equipment, systems, and facilities. Support continuous improvement and automation efforts within manufacturing and industrial operations. Troubleshoot, program, and maintain PLC-based control systems, including Allen Bradley PLCs, remote I/O, HMIs, and associated Rockwell software. Design and implement industrial Ethernet communication networks and machine control system layouts. Manage capital and expense budgets to align with plant objectives and operational goals.
Requirements Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and i ndustrial automation systems . Proficiency in Rockwell software, including programming, configuration, and troubleshooting of PLCs and HMIs. Experience with i ndustrial Ethernet communication protocols and network layout for machine control systems. Demonstrated ability to work independently with a strong work ethic and self-starter mindset. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment with familiarity in production and maintenance processes.
Preferred:
Strong communication and negotiation skills for engaging internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred:
Experience managing contractors and maintenance technicians.
Preferred:
Proven ability to design, develop, and oversee electrical control systems from concept to implementation.
