Job Description
Seeking a Spacecraft Test Engineer to support spacecraft and component Integration & Test (I&T) activities including electrical checkout, RF communications, propulsion, GN&C, and thermal system testing. The role involves developing and executing test procedures, troubleshooting anomalies, operating EGSE equipment, and supporting spacecraft-level testing in a fast-paced aerospace environment. Responsibilities Develop and execute spacecraft/component test procedures Perform safe-to-mate, power-on, and functional testing Troubleshoot test anomalies and perform root cause analysis Generate test reports and track metrics Review electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Operate EGSE equipment including: Power supplies DMMs Oscilloscopes RF test equipment (VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, telemetry receivers, modems) Support spacecraft integration and environmental testing Occasionally support overnight/weekend testing and travel (ABQ, LAX) Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 5+ years of aerospace test engineering or related experience Experience with electrical/electronics testing and troubleshooting Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation Hands-on experience with aerospace test equipment and EGSE Preferred Qualifications Epsilon 3 test procedure experience Spacecraft-level testing and FlatSat/HIL experience AS9100 knowledge Linux and Python scripting experience Familiarity with COSMOS/OpenC3 or InControl Cleanroom and spacecraft I&T experience Failure analysis methods (5-Why, Fishbone) #
