Job Description
Hesnor Engineering Associates, PLLC (HEA) is currently hiring an Electrical Engineer in our Albany, NY office . HEA is a full-service Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing consulting firm with offices in New York and Massachusetts that are well versed in new construction, renovations, additions, analysis, specialized systems, and design/build projects for a variety of clients. The Electrical Engineer will collaborate with clients to provide building power supply and distribution, lighting, fire alarm, emergency power, security, and telecommunications systems, data center power, and networking systems, designs, studies, and technical support as required to fulfill project requirements. Typical projects will involve field work, design, and construction administration services. A knowledge of design tools is preferred, specifically AutoCADD and/or Revit. A successful candidate will be able to work well in a team and provide ownerhsip in their tasks and projects. This position offers the opportunity to transition into more advanced promotions in electrical design. Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop concepts, strategies, construction documents, and engineering reports for new building or renovation projects.
- Provide electrical design tasks for multi-disciplined design projects including building power supply and distribution, lighting, fire alarm, emergency power, security, and telecommunications systems, data center power, and networking systems in all phases of projects from schematic design through construction administration.
- Interact directly with clients technically by completing analysis of design options, cost benefit comparisons, and communicating results to assist owners in the decision-making process and maintaining client relationships.
- Contribute to the electrical project team to meet project goals and deliver a high-quality work product.
- Coordinate design with the mechanical and other multi-disciplined teams. Qualifications and Skills Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience with a professional A/E services firm
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Strong writing, organizational, and communications skills
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task efficiently
- Ability to work in a positive manner in a team environment
- EIT certification is preferred or ability to acquire
- Knowledge of AutoCADD and/or
Revit Salary Range:
$80-89K+ Commensurate with Experience. The specific salary offered is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and qualifications.
