I&C SUPERVISOR A
dynamic and committed professional is sought to join as an Instrumentation and Controls/ Electrical Supervisor in Astoria, NY. This role involves overseeing, directing, and coordinating the daily tasks of Instrumentation/Controls (I&C) technicians in inspecting, repairing, and rebuilding mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation and controls structures. Job Description Conduct assessments to identify system or component deficiencies and implement corrective actions. Utilize standard software and tools to develop performance improvement plans. Participate in project planning and construction activities. Support major component overhauls and system outages. Analyze root causes of outages and failures. Coordinate with equipment and service providers. Document design changes and oversee testing. Maintain design documentation and generate informative reports. Offer engineering support and represent the Company on committees. Maintain communication across internal and external organizations. Perform other assigned duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of technical supervisory or engineering experience, including project management and leadership. Proficient in plant control system design, operations, and maintenance in utility, oil & gas, or marine propulsion sectors. Skilled in DCS, PLC, BMS, switchgear, and power cables. Knowledge of equipment sizing, life cycle management, protection schemes, and relay settings. Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and procedures. Effective leadership and supervisory abilities. Experience working with unionized workforces is advantageous. Industry Utilities Oil & Energy Electrical & Electronic Manufacturing Mi Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's Degree in engineering (desired) 5+ years' experience in an industrial maintenance role at a large process industry (refinery, power plant, military/merchant marine) with 4 years of supervising experience being required. Experience supervising a unionized workforce is a plus.
