Job Description
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer (Mid-Level) to join our engineering team. This mid-level position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working across the full product lifecycle—from concept and design through validation and production—while contributing to high-reliability power electronics solutions used in demanding environments such as aerospace, defense, and industrial systems. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and test analog and power electronic circuits, including AC-DC and DC-DC conversion systems Perform component selection, schematic capture, and support PCB layout activities with attention to EMI, thermal performance, and reliability Conduct circuit simulation (e.g., SPICE-based tools) and analyze performance under varying electrical and environmental conditions Develop and execute validation and qualification test plans, including worst-case analysis and derating Troubleshoot hardware issues at the board and system level, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance Support transition from prototype to production, including documentation, test procedures, and manufacturing support Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes Interface with customers for product deployment Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field 3-7 years of relevant industry experience Strong foundation in analog circuit design and power electronics Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium or similar) Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and power analyzers Working knowledge of EMI/EMC principles and mitigation techniques Ability to debug circuits and systems methodically Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience designing for high-reliability applications (e.g., aerospace, military, or medical) Familiarity with industry standards such as MIL-STD or IPC guidelines Experience with thermal analysis and magnetic component selection Exposure to digital control of power converters (e.g., microcontrollers or DSPs) Understanding of isolation techniques and high-voltage design considerations Experience developing embedded firmware and/or PC-based tools (e.g., C/C++, Python, or C#), including simple GUI applications for test, control, or data visualization The salary range is $100,000-$140,000. #IND2
