Job Description
Z-AXIS Inc. is a growing manufacturer of electronic assemblies, focused on delivering high levels of customer and employee satisfaction. We are looking to add an Electrical Design Engineer to our Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design and development of custom power supplies and electronic control products, including analog, power, digital, and microprocessor-based designs. This role involves collaborating with the engineering team on design reviews, contributing new ideas, and performing hands-on testing and validation in the lab.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in electrical hardware design; individual experience will be considered
- Foundational understanding of analog and digital circuit design principals
- Effective problem-solving and root cause analysis skills at the component level
- Familiarity with bench-level test equipment
- Familiarity with embedded software development in C/C++ is preferred; experience with 8-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers, as well as Git and Python, is also preferred, but not required
- Ability to develop test procedures and perform design verification testing independently
- Experience with EMI design and testing is preferred (in-house test chamber available)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced but team-supported environment
