design (engineering design task) Firmware Schematic development for electrical drafting Attention to detail Printed circuit board (PCB) layout Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and components that drive cutting-edge technology solutions. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of sophisticated hardware and firmware, ensuring optimal performance and reliability across various projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex system design, utilize advanced tools, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver impactful engineering solutions. Responsibilities Design and develop electrical systems, including schematics, PCB layouts, and system integration using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks. Implement FPGA-based designs and develop firmware using SystemVerilog, C++, Python, MATLAB, Perl, and scripting languages for embedded applications. Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot electrical issues in prototypes and manufacturing environments, ensuring robust system performance. Perform signal processing tasks and develop algorithms for vision inspection systems or other sensor-based applications. Manage project scheduling to meet deadlines while coordinating with cross-functional teams on system design, testing, and manufacturing processes. Solder surface mount technology (SMT) components onto PCBs with precision; utilize ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools for testing electrical circuits. Collaborate on mechanical integration using Revit, Mechanical Engineering principles, and CAD tools like SolidWorks to ensure seamless system assembly. Experience Proven experience in electrical engineering with a strong background in system design, debugging, and troubleshooting of complex electronic systems. Hands-on experience with FPGA development, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ARM processors, microcontrollers like Arduino, and firmware development. Familiarity with PCB design software such as AutoCAD or Altium Designer; experience with schematics creation is essential. Knowledge of electrical standards including NEC (National Electrical Code) and manufacturing best practices for surface mount technology (SMT). Mechanical knowledge related to integrating electrical components within mechanical enclosures or assemblies is a plus. Experience working with signal processing techniques, vision inspection systems, or automation equipment is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills in root cause analysis combined with excellent project scheduling abilities to ensure timely project delivery.
