Job Description
About ALPS Air Logic Power Systems (ALPS), a division of TASI Group, designs and manufactures advanced leak test equipment and fully automated leak detection systems. Our solutions help leading manufacturers in the plastic container industry improve product quality through highly sensitive testing and real-time data analysis. The Role We're looking for a Controls Engineer to lead the design, development, and commissioning of automated leak detection systems. This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of control systems from concept through startup, working closely with internal teams and customers to deliver high-performance automation solutions. What You'll Do Design and develop electrical control systems for automated equipment (PLCs, HMIs, servos, and associated components) Program, debug, and commission PLC and HMI systems Define machine sequences and control strategies based on testing requirements Size and specify electrical power requirements and system components Design and implement pneumatic control systems (valves, cylinders, etc.) Develop electrical schematics and system documentation Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) Lead machine startup and debugging Collaborate directly with customers during system integration and runoff Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure systems meet performance and quality standards What You Bring Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field Experience in industrial automation and control systems design Hands-on experience with PLC programming and machine startup/debug Experience with one or more of the following platforms: Omron CX-One / Sysmac Studio Siemens TIA Portal AutoCAD Electrical Motion control Knowledge of pneumatic systems design (preferred) Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) Experience or knowledge in embedded systems / C programming (preferred)
