The Senior Controls Engineer leads the design and implementation of complex control systems and automation solutions. In addition to technical delivery, this role provides guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and contributes to project leadership through collaboration, planning, and technical oversight.Key Responsibilities:
Develop advanced PLC and HMI programs for automation systems Develop advanced robot and vision system programs for automation systems Support system startup, commissioning, and client training Act as a lead technical contact for assigned projects and client needs Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical direction Provide mentorship and knowledge-sharing to less experienced engineers Assist in reviewing and improving engineering processes and documentation Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients throughout the project lifecycle Manage time and tasks to meet project deadlines Maintain technical documentation and ensure design compliance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Technical accuracy and quality of deliverables Timely execution and leadership of project tasks Effective mentoring and collaboration Client satisfaction and project success Compliance with applicable standards and internal quality checksPosition Requirements:

Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or related field Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in industrial automation or controls engineeringRequired Qualifications:
Skills:
Advanced PLC and HMI programming including but not limited to the following platforms: Rockwell/Allen-Bradley Siemens Inductive Automation Ignition Aveva/Wonderware Intouch/System Platform. Experience in robot and vision systems including but not limited to the following: Fanuc ABB Kawaski Cognex Keyence Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics Ability to write logic using common control languages such as: Ladder Logic Structured Text Sequential Function Chart Function Block Diagram VB Python Ability to develop structured and organized control programs Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication Proven ability to lead project tasks and mentor others Familiarity with electrical code and standards including NFPA70 (NEC) and NFPA70E Preferred Qualifications:
PE license Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical Strong background in control panel designUnderstanding of:
UL508A NFPA79
