Job Description

Job Title:
Electrical Engineer Job Description The Electrical Engineer provides technical support to the organization in the area of electrical testing for current production and new model additions. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and validating test systems from complex design specifications to support a mass production environment, ensuring high product quality and consistent cycle times. The position works closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Production, and Material Services. Responsibilities Provide technical support for electrical testing related to current production and new model additions. Design, develop, and validate electrical test systems based on complex design specifications. Set up machines for new models, including building, retooling, program creation, and vision solution implementation. Investigate and develop new testing methods and templates as part of R D efforts. Support production and maintenance by troubleshooting false failures and reducing downtime on production test equipment. Set up tests in response to internal or external rejects and quality escapes. Develop, modify, and maintain SQL databases based on testing and reporting requirements. Implement required design changes, including machine and equipment modifications. Facilitate training and support existing equipment for current production and new model additions. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent applicable experience. Minimum of 3 years of applicable experience in the automotive industry or similar environment. Strong understanding of electrical circuits and schematics, with an interest in becoming a more hands-on applications and software-focused engineer. Experience developing software and applications, including programming in C#, C/C++, and SQL. Familiarity with industrial communication and I/O interfaces (PCI/PCIe, PC-based I/O systems preferred). Experience with PLC programming, preferably Rockwell / Allen-Bradley (RSLogix / Studio 5000). Knowledge of ISO standards, machine vision, and PLC programming.
Additional Skills & Qualifications Preferred:
5 years of applicable automotive industry experience. Experience with programming languages such as VB, C, C++, or C#. Ability to conceptualize automated processes and convert them into PLC logic. Knowledge of
ANSI, NFPA
79, NEC, and applicable U.S. Department of Transportation vehicle display regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer hardware knowledge. Robotics operations or programming certification (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, etc.) preferred. Work Environment This is an onsite position supporting automotive manufacturing operations in a clean, temperature-controlled environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sabina, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $50.48/hr.
