Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Controls Engineer to support the design, programming, implementation, and maintenance of industrial control systems in a manufacturing environment. This hands-on role will work closely with automation and engineering teams to support equipment upgrades, new installations, automation projects, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, reliability, and safety. Responsibilities Design, program, and commission PLC-based control systems using Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation platforms. Develop and troubleshoot HMI and SCADA systems for process monitoring and production reporting. Support equipment integration, electrical design, network architecture, and system commissioning. Troubleshoot control panels, drives, sensors, instrumentation, and automation systems. Maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Assist with preventive maintenance programs and system upgrades. Support industrial networking, IT/OT integration, and cybersecurity initiatives. Ensure compliance with
OSHA, NFPA
70E, and other industrial safety standards. Collaborate on automation expansion projects and continuous improvement efforts. Provide technical guidance to automation technicians and junior team members. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Controls Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. 3-7 years of industrial controls engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Rockwell Automation software, HMI, and SCADA systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control panel drawings, and P&IDs. Experience with VFDs, servo systems, motor controls, and industrial networking. Strong troubleshooting, project management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced production environment.
