Travel is estimated at 30-35% of the time, some of that time does not include overnight stays. This position is unique within the organization and plays a vital role in the collection of manufacturing data while serving as a technical liaison within plants and the corporate engineering group. There is strong growth opportunity in this role for the successful incumbent. Relocation assistance is available for this role. Duties Advise and develop strategies throughout the North American organization related to controls operations and manufacturing digitization Design, implement, and maintain automated data collection systems to provide timely metrics and analysis to support manufacturing operations. Work with production leadership to define requirements for data collection and visualization. Assist the project team with data collection hardware, network infrastructure, protocol design, and data processing/analysis. Design and implement Andon visualization screens and management reporting tools. Continuously seek improvements in equipment and process performance. Monitor system performance and provide guidance regarding system storage and processing requirements. Be responsive to management requests for new features or modifications to existing features. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant major. Will consider Associate's degree or no degree with equivalent applicable experience. 3 years of PLC/HMI system planning, design, programming in information flow within a manufacturing setting. Ability to travel up to 35% of the time Knowledge of MES, SCADA, Inductive Automation Ignition system a plus.
Preference for experience with:
RSLogix PLC, Allen Bradley HMI, ABB or Fanuc Robotics Programming, Keyence or Cognex Vision Systems Salary and Benefits Salary range
