Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
An Electrical Engineering Intern plays a hands-on role in the full project lifecycle, from initial design to final testing. You will support the engineering team by managing technical documentation, including drawing revisions, Bill of Materials (BOM) generation, and manual updates. Beyond documentation, you will gain practical field experience by creating test plans, executing small PLC/programming updates, and collaborating directly with the Electrical Wiring and Service departments to assist with panel assembly and on-machine wiring.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Update "red-lined" Electrical Schematics from the shop using AutoCad Electrical Assist Electrical Engineers with the development of electrical schematics, panel layouts and bills of material (BOM) Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, such as: Test Plans Project Packets Operator manuals Creation of machine tag lists Assist the Electrical Wiring group with layout and wiring of panels as well as on machine wiring Assist the Electrical Engineers in preparing shipments lists
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Technical Foundations:
3rd/4th-year student or recent graduate in a relevant field with a basic understanding of AC/DC circuits and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Professionalism & Soft Skills:
Highly organized and professional individual with strong communication skills and the ability to uphold company values.
Adaptability & Work Ethic:
Enthusiastic, results-driven learner capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment while working effectively across various departments.
Physical & Environmental Flexibility:
Willingness to work in both a professional office setting and a hands-on shop-floor environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to read electrical schematics. PLC Programming (primarily Rockwell and/or Siemens PLCs) Experience with AutoCAD Electrical Strong interest in automation/robotics
SCHEDULE AND WORK ARRANGEMENT
Weekly Commitment:
Minimum of 10 hours per week during the academic semester. Opportunity for increased hours during summer and winter breaks.

CARRER DEVELOPMENT AND ADVANCEMENT
This internship is designed to develop high-performing engineering talent for industry. Interns who demonstrate strong technical capability, initiative, and alignment with TWT's engineering standards may be considered for full-time employment opportunities upon graduation, depending on business needs and performance.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS NEEDED
Primarily work at a computer station with regular transitions to the manufacturing floor. Regular standing, walking, kneeling, and squatting for equipment inspection and assembly. Exposure to typical manufacturing conditions (noise, fumes, and temperature changes). Manual dexterity required for hands-on work with tools and mechanical components.
