This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical expertise in power distribution, lighting, and building systems design who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing high-quality construction documents, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting projects from concept through completion. Key Responsibilities Serve as the Electrical Discipline Lead on assigned projects. Design lighting, power, and electrical distribution systems for commercial and retail facilities. Utilize Revit to create and coordinate construction documents. Ensure designs comply with applicable building, electrical, energy, and life-safety codes. Perform electrical engineering calculations, including load analysis, voltage drop, fault current, and photometric studies. Conduct or assist with power system studies for systems operating at 480 volts and below. Select and specify electrical equipment and system components. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients throughout the design process. Participate in project meetings and multidisciplinary quality control reviews. Perform site visits and evaluate existing conditions as required. Mentor and support junior team members. Maintain project schedules, budgets, and scope requirements. Technical Skills Experience designing electrical distribution, power, and lighting systems. Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), energy codes, life-safety codes, and applicable building regulations. Experience with SKM Power Tools or similar power system analysis software is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Detail-oriented with a collaborative and client-focused approach. Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
