Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Level II Electrical Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and testing complex electrical systems and components that drive cutting-edge technology solutions. Your expertise will contribute to the advancement of system design, troubleshooting, and manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality deliverables and operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects involving FPGA development, PCB design, system integration, and firmware development in a fast-paced environment dedicated to technological innovation. Summary of Duties Design, develop, and test mixed-signal circuits for a wide variety of different applications. Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop circuits that meet critical performance metrics and accomplish broader engineering objectives Assist with board layout of modern PCB architectures, including routing of impedance-critical lines and thermal management of high-power components Perform board-level testing of mixed-signal PCBs and other RF electronics using modern laboratory equipment (e.g. multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.) Capture and analyze critical performance data and present conclusions and recommendations to senior engineering leadership Work directly with suppliers & vendors to facilitate purchasing and parts selection Works under the guidance of a lead electrical engineer while contributing technical expertise to project execution and problem solving. Demonstrates leadership ability, as well as superior work ethic. A high degree of creativity is required.

Level of Interaction:
Interacts with the project's technical lead, group leaders, senior engineers, machinists, electronic/mechanical technicians, suppliers/vendors, and administrative assistants.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university in Electrical Engineering.
Experience:
Minimum five (5) years' relevant industry experience Security Requirements Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility for access to classified information in accordance with government security requirements. Abilities, Knowledge and Skills Familiar with a wide variety of engineering concepts, practices, and procedures. Applies electrical engineering principles and techniques to accomplish project goals. Exhibits sound judgement. Solid understanding of common RF and mixed-signal design principles, as well as relevant PCB layout techniques and fabrication practices Practical experience troubleshooting digital and mixed-signal PCBs Familiar with modern laboratory equipment, e.g. multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, spectrum/logic analyzers, function generators, etc. Proficient in the use of data analysis tools, e.g. MATLAB, Python, Excel In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional Suite tools Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and motivate team members in a creative and effective manner Strong interpersonal skills; a team player and independent worker Excellent planning and analytical skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to interface with individuals at all levels within the company, as well as suppliers and customers Physical Requirements Regularly required to stand; walk; talk; reach; climb stairs; stoop; crouch; listen; vision capable of reading, viewing a computer screen and inspection and or assembly of small electronic components; occasionally lift up to 40 pounds may be required. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering.
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
