Job Description

Purpose of Position:
This position will be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and supporting electronic hardware used in Trillium Engineering products. This position contributes to the full product lifecycle, including design, analysis, prototype build, testing, and sustaining activities. This role will focus on PCB manufacturing and will play a critical role in interfacing between production, procurement, and our vendors. The role operates under the supervision of the Electrical Engineering Manager and collaborates with mechanical, software, manufacturing, and production teams to ensure electrical designs meet performance, manufacturability, and reliability requirements.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
Design, analyze, and document analog, digital, and power electronic circuits for aerospace applications. Perform schematic capture and printed circuit board (PCB) layout using Altium Designer. Prepare and maintain detailed design documentation, including schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), and fabrication/release packages. Support prototype assembly, bring-up, and functional testing. Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis on prototypes, production units, and returned materials (RMAs). Participate in design and peer reviews; review the work of other engineers for correctness, completeness, and adherence to standards. Ensure designs comply with internal design practices and applicable industry standards (e.g., IPC). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design issues and ensure proper integration with mechanical and software systems. Serve as technical liaison between engineering, procurement, and PCB fabrication/assembly vendors Respond to vendor questions regarding PCB fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and manufacturing packages Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews during design release Maintain organized design records and configuration control of design artifacts. Contribute to the development and improvement of internal design and documentation processes. Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Qualifications :
Bachelor s degree in electrical engineering or other related Engineering discipline. Knowledge of engineering theories, concepts and practices to resolve difficult or unusual issues. Knowledge in processes, procedures, technology or software. 3-5 years in a developmental engineering environment, preferred.
Physical Demands of Position:
Physically able to lift up to 20 pounds (materials/equipment) Effective use of computer, laptop, cell phone and other mobile device to exchange information.
