has been a leader in the gray and ductile iron casting industry for over 50 years. We are a progressive, financially strong organization focused on mass-production solutions for intermediate-volume products. Through continued investment in plant equipment, automation, process technology, and our state-of-the-art facility, Benton Foundry serves the agriculture, construction, fluid handling, mining, and industrial equipment markets from North Central Pennsylvania. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our electrical power distribution, automation, and control systems. Position Summary The Electrical Engineer will serve as a key technical resource for industrial electrical systems, PLC-based controls, instrumentation, automation, and production equipment reliability within a heavy manufacturing foundry environment. This position supports critical equipment such as induction furnaces, molding lines, conveyors, material handling systems, dust collection systems, compressors, and cooling systems. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working directly with production and maintenance teams, solving complex electrical and controls issues, supporting capital projects, and improving equipment uptime, safety, and operational performance. Key Responsibilities Design, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve industrial electrical systems, including power distribution, motor control centers, transformers, switchgear, drives, and control panels. Support the reliability and performance of foundry production equipment, including induction furnaces, molding lines, conveyors, dust collection systems, compressors, and cooling systems. Troubleshoot electrical and control system failures to minimize downtime and ensure safe equipment operation. Design, program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs, HMI systems, industrial networks, and automation systems. Support instrumentation systems such as thermocouples, RTDs, pressure transmitters, flow meters, level sensors, and process monitoring equipment. Develop and maintain electrical schematics, system drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation. Lead or support the electrical engineering aspects of capital improvement projects, including design, installation, commissioning, and vendor coordination. Conduct root cause analysis of electrical failures and implement corrective and preventive actions. Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime. Ensure compliance with applicable electrical and safety standards, including OSHA requirements, NFPA 70 / NEC, NFPA 70E, and company safety standards. Provide technical guidance and support to electricians, maintenance personnel, contractors, vendors, and production staff. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities related to safety, reliability, automation, efficiency, and equipment performance. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology. Minimum of three years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Experience with industrial electrical systems, including power distribution, motors, drives, and control systems. Experience troubleshooting electrical and automation systems in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and engineering documentation. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and project management skills. Ability to communicate effectively with maintenance, production, engineering, and management personnel. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial environment. Preferred Qualifications Five or more years of experience in a heavy industrial environment such as a foundry, steel mill, mining operation, or similar manufacturing environment. Experience with PLC systems such as Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation, Siemens, or similar platforms. Experience with safety control systems. Experience with low

Experience with induction furnaces, industrial automation, and process control systems. Experience developing and maintaining electrical single-line diagrams. Experience with arc flash studies and analysis. Work Environment This position works in a heavy industrial gray and ductile iron foundry environment. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in and around manufacturing operations, production equipment, powered industrial vehicles, elevated temperatures, noise, and other conditions typical of a foundry setting. Proper personal protective equipment is required, and all work must be performed in accordance with company safety policies, OSHA standards, and applicable electrical safety requirements.
Schedule Standard schedule:
Monday through Friday, eight-hour shifts. Occasional overtime or weekend support may be required. Must be available to support equipment installations, shutdowns, critical repairs, and production needs as necessary. Why Join Benton Foundry?
