Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are working exclusively with a globally recognised, industry-leading building products manufacturer to find an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer for a permanent role covering two manufacturing facilities in Pennsylvania. This is a senior, hands-on engineering role requiring deep expertise in
NFPA 70E
electrical safety, ARC flash hazard analysis and labelling, and electrical design oversight for complex industrial manufacturing environments. You will be the primary electrical engineering authority for both sites — a trusted technical expert who works independently and drives continuous improvement in electrical safety, reliability and compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Electrical Safety & NFPA 70E Compliance Serve as the site authority for
NFPA 70E
electrical safety compliance across both Pennsylvania manufacturing facilities Develop, implement and maintain Electrical Safety Programs (ESP) in full compliance with NFPA 70E and
OSHA 29 CFR 1910.269
Conduct and oversee electrical safety audits, inspections and corrective action programmes Deliver
NFPA 70E
electrical safety training to plant personnel, maintenance technicians and contractors ARC Flash Hazard Analysis & Labelling Lead and manage ARC flash hazard analysis studies across both sites — data collection, software modelling and results review Ensure all electrical equipment is correctly labelled in accordance with NFPA 70E and NEC requirements Coordinate periodic ARC flash re-assessments following system changes or equipment modifications Specify and oversee selection of appropriate PPE categories for all electrical work tasks Electrical Design & Engineering Oversight Provide design oversight for electrical projects — power distribution, MCCs, control panels, lighting and grounding systems Review and approve electrical drawings, schematics, single line diagrams (SLDs), panel schedules and specifications Manage and oversee electrical contractors, vendors and consultants on capital and maintenance projects Ensure designs comply with
NEC, NFPA 70, NFPA
70E, IEEE and applicable local codes Support new equipment installations from design review through to energisation and commissioning Reliability, Maintenance & Project Management Support plant maintenance teams with root cause analysis of electrical failures and corrective actions Develop and review preventative maintenance programmes for transformers, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs and UPS systems Manage electrical engineering projects from scoping and design through to implementation and handover Coordinate with operations, maintenance, safety and capital projects teams
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology 8+ years of electrical engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment In-depth knowledge and hands-on application of
NFPA 70E
— electrical safety in the workplace Demonstrated ARC flash hazard analysis and labelling experience — including power systems analysis software (e.g. SKM, ETAP or EasyPower) Strong knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70), NFPA 70E, OSHA electrical safety regulations and IEEE standards Experience reviewing and producing electrical design documentation — SLDs, schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams Proven ability to manage electrical contractors and vendors on capital and maintenance projects Ability to travel regularly between two Pennsylvania manufacturing sites
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Professional Engineer (PE) licence — Pennsylvania preferred Experience with power systems analysis software — SKM PowerTools, ETAP or EasyPower Familiarity with industrial power distribution, transformer maintenance and switchgear Experience in building products, heavy industrial or continuous process manufacturing Knowledge of industrial control systems — PLCs, VFDs and motor controls Capital project management experience in a manufacturing environment
Pay:
$94,076.10 - $120,000.00 per year
