Job Description

Controls Engineer (This is an onsite position Monday - Friday 8am- 5pm)Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to design and implement control systems for our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and controls design, with a focus on improving efficiency and reliability in our operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop control systems for manufacturing equipmentCreate and revise electrical control panels and schematicsTroubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems and electro-mechanical systemsPerform risk assessments and ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA79, and
ANSI/ISO
standardsCollaborate with manufacturing teams to identify and implement improvementsUtilize AutoCAD electrical for circuit design and documentationSelect appropriate materials and components for control systemsDevelop startup procedures and documentation for new equipmentPrepare and maintain Bill of Material and budget documentationImplement Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as part of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS)QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field3+ years of experience in controls engineering or related rolesProficient in programming logic controllers; Siemens, GE Fanuc, and Allen-Bradley (AB)Strong knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and operator interfacesExperience with HMI and PLC/PC control systemsFamiliarity with troubleshooting methodologies and circuit designAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematicsExperience with material selection and budget managementUnderstanding of safety and environmental regulations in manufacturingStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailBenefitsCompetitive CompensationHealth, Dental, Vision Insurance401K with Employer ContributionPTO with paid holidaysTuition reimbursementCharitable Contribution Matching
