- _in order to be considered, so we can provide support to our local utility customer as needed. The selected candidate(s) will be expected to be available for in-person meetings and assignments throughout the customer territory in Pennsylvania on an as-needed basis._
- As an Associate Distribution Engineer / Designer, you can expect to:
- + Support the development of design and construction work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems for electric utility customers + Assist in reviewing client-provided work and help interpret scope requirements under guidance from senior team members + Perform basic engineering calculations such as pole loading, guying, conductor sag and tension, and voltage drop with oversight + Provide support during construction activities, including assisting with post-construction reviews to help ensure compliance with engineering and construction standards + Assist with analysis of outages and contribute to mitigation efforts using established engineering practices + Gain experience coordinating with other utilities and field engineering requirements, supporting design efforts for cable/conduit projects, and assisting with permitting, easements, and right-of-way (ROW) documentation •What Sets You Apart (Background Requirements):•+ Bachelor's Degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial preferred); additional relevant experience/certifications may be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree + Ability to demonstrate proficiency with the NESC + Ability to utilize a personal vehicle,as some customer-related travel could be anticipated(Job-related travel will be reimbursed at IRS-approved rates) + Willingness to perform both field and office work; Ability to work in outdoor environments on occasion; The role may require customer-site visits to collect field data that will assist in developing work packages + Candidates should possess valid U.
