Job Description

A growing engineering and commissioning consultancy is looking to add a Commissioning Agent to their Denver team. This group works across a diverse portfolio of projects and is seeking individuals who are ready to take on increased ownership while continuing to develop technically and professionally. This is a hybrid position with minimal travel, primarily local to the Denver area. About the Role This position offers the opportunity to lead commissioning activities on small to mid-sized projects, while gaining exposure to more complex systems and larger-scale projects over time. You'll play a hands-on role in delivering commissioning services from early design through project closeout, with a clear path to advance into more senior, client-facing responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Lead commissioning efforts on small to mid-sized projects across various building types Execute the full commissioning lifecycle, including: Design reviews and coordination Functional testing and system verification Issue tracking and resolution Develop and maintain commissioning documentation (plans, reports, test procedures) Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery Support larger, more complex projects alongside senior staff Over time, begin taking on increased responsibility for project management and client interaction What They're Looking For 2-6 years of commissioning, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) , or related building systems experience Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and/or building systems Experience supporting or leading commissioning on commercial, institutional, or mission-critical projects Ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively with project teams Motivated individuals looking to grow into leadership responsibilities over time Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles HVAC Estimator
