Electrical/Electronics Engineer
III VISTA
Technology Services, Inc. (VISTA) is currently seeking an Electrical/Electronics Engineer III to support engineering and technical services for Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E). A hybrid work environment with some required on-site support is authorized. The Electrical/Electronics Engineers will provide design and engineering support for test site programs, including development of conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs for electrical and electronic systems supporting naval test facilities and equipment. This role supports the full engineering lifecycle, including planning, design, analysis, installation, testing, and as-built verification of HM&E electrical/electronic systems and associated infrastructure. Responsibilities Develop and support electrical and electronic system designs for Government review, including: Electrical power generation, distribution, conversion, and control systems Machinery control systems, instrumentation, and monitoring systems System interfaces and integration with mechanical, structural, and fluid systems Create and maintain computer-based design models and documentation to support: Electrical system layouts and schematics Power distribution and control system designs Interface requirements for test site systems Support conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design efforts, including: Engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and data packages Design calculations, load analysis, and system specifications Technical documentation and reports Assist with development of electrical design documentation, including: Power availability and load analysis Equipment sizing and system integration requirements Electrical safety considerations and compliance with applicable standards Support engineering reviews and program milestones, including: Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews (PDR/CDR) Integrated Test Readiness Reviews and schedule reviews Participate in site inspections and engineering assessments: Validate existing electrical systems and configurations Ensure alignment between design intent and field conditions Contribute to installation, test, and evaluation support, including: Electrical system verification and troubleshooting Updates to reflect as-built configurations Resolution of electrical and integration issues Support electrical and electronic systems design, including: Motors, controls, and machinery control systems Power distribution systems and switchgear Instrumentation, sensors, and monitoring systems Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from an accredited college or university Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in electrical and electronics engineering design, development, and testing Experience should include electric motors, machinery controls, or similar electrical systems Required Skills Experience with electrical system design and integration in engineering environments Proficiency with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and development of: Electrical schematics and drawings System layouts and design models Familiarity with: Electrical power generation, distribution, and control systems Engineering standards, codes, and safety requirements Technical documentation and engineering deliverables Ability to support multi-disciplinary engineering environments, including coordination with: Mechanical, structural, and test engineering teams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills supporting: System integration Test and evaluation activities Engineering troubleshooting Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
