Job Description

A well‑established engineering and design firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical system design for complex healthcare projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging, mission‑critical facilities-including hospitals, medical centers, and specialized care environments-while collaborating with experienced multidisciplinary teams. The position is fully remote and supports a diverse portfolio of healthcare projects throughout the Eastern United States.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee electrical design for healthcare new construction and renovation projectsDesign and coordinate systems including lighting and controls, power distribution, emergency and essential electrical systems, and fire alarm systemsEnsure designs comply with
NEC, NFPA, FGI
Guidelines, and local authority requirementsServe as Engineer of Record, signing and sealing documents as requiredCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide technical mentorship to junior staffQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldProfessional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina, or the ability to obtain is required15+ years of electrical engineering design experienceStrong background in healthcare facility designDemonstrated expertise in lighting, power distribution, emergency power systems, and fire alarm/life safety systemsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively in a fully remote environment
