Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer | New York, NY A nationally recognized MEP consulting engineering firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its New York office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on architecturally significant, sustainable, and technically complex projects alongside some of the industry's leading engineering and design professionals. The ideal candidate is a technically strong engineer with experience delivering sophisticated building systems projects from concept through construction. This role is ideal for someone passionate about innovative building design, high-performance systems, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary project environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the conceptual design and development of electrical building systems for complex projects Prepare high-quality construction documents, specifications, and technical reports Perform engineering calculations including load analysis, short circuit calculations, emergency power sizing, and voltage drop analysis Develop due diligence and existing conditions assessment reports Participate in construction administration activities including field observations, punch lists, RFIs, contractor coordination, and submittal reviews Collaborate closely with architects, owners, and multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout all project phases Mentor and support junior engineering staff through technical guidance and project collaboration Build and maintain strong client relationships through high-quality project execution and communication

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering for building systems projects Experience across all project phases from schematic design through construction administration Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code, NYC Electrical Code, New York Building Code, and NFPA standards Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Experience performing electrical engineering calculations and technical analysis Strong written and verbal communication skills Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively pursuing licensure preferred LEED Accreditation preferred

ATIND Pay:

$95,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
