Job Description

Electrical Engineer (PE Preferred) | Multifamily & Commercial | Remote (TX Preferred) We're partnering with a growing engineering group focused on building design projects across multifamily and commercial construction. This team operates in a lean, highly collaborative environment where engineers have direct ownership of their work, interact with clients, and contribute across disciplines. This is a hands-on Electrical Engineer role with flexibility on level. While a PE is preferred, we're also open to strong Electrical Engineers or Designers with relevant building systems experience who are looking to grow. What You'll Be Doing Design electrical systems for multifamily and commercial buildings, including: Power distribution Lighting systems & controls Emergency power systems Low-voltage systems (fire alarm, communications, etc.) Perform load calculations and develop efficient, code-compliant designs Create construction documents using AutoCAD and/or Revit Collaborate with architects, contractors, and MEP teams to ensure coordinated designs Support project execution from design through construction Interface with clients and support technical discussions as needed What We're Looking For Experience in electrical design for building systems (multifamily, commercial, or similar) Understanding of relevant codes (NEC, IECC, etc.) Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong coordination skills across disciplines (MEP, architecture, construction) Preferred (But Not Required) PE or EIT certification (Texas preferred) 3-8+ years of relevant experience Experience working in smaller or mid-sized engineering firms Exposure to energy-efficient design or lighting controls Client-facing or project coordination experience Why This Role Stands Out Flexible level hiring - open to engineers and designers Remote opportunity (Texas preferred, but open to strong candidates nationwide) High visibility and direct collaboration with leadership Opportunity to work across disciplines and grow beyond a siloed role Fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment with real ownership Location Remote (U.S.) with preference for Texas-based candidates Hybrid flexibility available for local candidates
