Your journey starts now—protect and innovate with MANTECH! MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our team in Lexington Park, MD . This is a hybrid position with 3 days in office and 2 days remote. The Electrical Engineer will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to support the Sponsor's engineering efforts, to include providing expertise and technical leadership to support the concept development, prototype integration, installation, analysis, test & evaluation, and deployment of the Unmanned Mission Control Station (UMCS). Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Reviewing and updating GFI packages, including Installation Guidance Instructions, drawing packages, installation packages, and Interface Control Documents (ICD) Supporting the development of UMCS System of System (SoS) System Operational Verification Test (SOVT) planning and requirements compliance matrix for shipboard industrial/stage testing Conducting reviews of electrical engineering drawings and maintaining Size, Weight, and Power (SWAP) analysis for various electrical components across all UMCS systems Reviewing and editing SWAP-C budgets for the Unmanned Aviation Warfare Center (UAWC) and ancillary equipment while documenting Risk, Issues, and Opportunities (RIO) Supporting trade studies of physical implementation solutions, solving electrical and cable discrepancies, and creating Liaison Action Requests (LARs) for cable design changes Applying engineering rigor and electrical engineering processes to support system installation requirements definition, design, development, verification planning, and sustainment planning Working with Government and Industry engineering, product support, manufacturing, and program manager personnel, including technical experts from various DoD entities
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Engineering or related discipline 1+ year of experience related to the functional duties of electrical engineering Experience supporting the review of alternative installation approaches, specifications, and installation work packages Experience reviewing technical products and developing or delivering associated technical briefs and products Experience collecting data in support of system modifications Experience analyzing interoperability requirements across a wide range of hardware and software systems for ship, shore, and mobile-based systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with NAVAIR terminology and previous experience working within a Program Office Experience supporting shipboard surveys and collecting data in support of system modifications Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and primary automated engineering or compliance tools Self-starter with excellent people skills - able to communicate well in team environments, organize meetings, and adapt well in virtual and dynamic team environments
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current or active Secret clearance
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%. Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,200.00-$128,800.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
