Electrical Engineer
TITAN has a client partner with several locations. This is a direct position with our client partner. This person could work remotely from any location in the Northeast US or from a company office in the NE US. They have several locations. T is an option to work remotely if t is no office near work.
This role will provide proposal and application design for critical electrical systems in data centers. Projects will provide on-site power generation on a small scale, usually from 10 Milliwatts (mW) to 1 gigawatt (GW), for data centers and other industrial facilities.
Responsibilities:
Take inbound project opportunities and put together a plan to satisfy the clients needs
Make decisions about the type of equipment to be used for the project. Examples of equipment choices include a turbine generator, a reciprocating generator, and a fuel cell.
Engineer medium and lowvoltage power distribution, UPS and generator backup, and emergency power systems for highdensity loads.
Create schematic designs, site layouts, bills of materials, and application of equipment
Understand OEMs and specifications of equipment
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations, including National Electric Code (NEC) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards
Work closely with mechanical, civil, controls, and IT teams to define project requirements, design criteria, and budgets.
Stay up-to-date with advancements in data center technologies, and recommend new technologies to improve the reliability and efficiency of our data center infrastructure
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering plus 5 years of progressive experience in datacenter or other missioncritical electrical design; active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
Must have experience with designing and delivering on-site power generation solutions to industrial facilities
Deep knowledge of powerdistribution architecture, UPS/generator systems, grounding/bonding, and protectivedevice coordination for 10mW-1 GW facilities. Any additional experience with solar or battery storage is a plus.
Preferred experience with success delivering datacenter power generation projects
Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations, including NEC and IEC standards
Salary will depend on experience. T are no fees for candidates for this position.
