Hybrid (In-office Monday-Thursday, Remote Fridays) A nationally recognized MEP consulting firm specializing in highly technical building systems is seeking an Electrical Designer with 3-7 years of experience to join our Atlanta office. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and innovative projects across healthcare, aviation, laboratory, and other mission-critical environments. We are looking for a technically capable professional who thrives in a collaborative setting and is eager to grow within a dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
Design power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for healthcare, aviation, laboratory, and other technically intensive facilities. Prepare construction documents, specifications, and load calculations. Coordinate design efforts with internal teams and external stakeholders including architects and contractors. Conduct site visits and field assessments to support design development and construction administration. Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
Qualifications:
3-7 years of experience in electrical design for building systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience preferred. Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, and applicable electrical codes. Experience with healthcare, aviation, or laboratory projects is highly desirable. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
