Electrical Engineer - Distribution Engineering & Grid Analytics Locals W2 Finezi San Ramon, CA Job Details Contract $75 - $80 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering Big data Load flow analysis Engineering Electrical engineering Power distribution systems Predictive analytics Electrical Engineering Full Job Description We are hiring an Electrical Engineer with strong analytical skills and experience in electric distribution engineering to support grid analytics, predictive asset management, and utility operations projects with Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Key Responsibilities Analyze Smart Meter (AMI) data and predictive alerts to identify transformer and overhead/underground line defects Support distribution engineering activities including power flow analysis and protective device coordination Work with large datasets including historical defect, inspection, and operational data Collaborate with field operations, Protection & Control, and engineering teams to validate predictive models and operational recommendations Translate complex analytical findings into actionable insights for asset management and field teams Support reliability improvement initiatives across electric distribution systems Required Qualifications ✔ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering ✔ Experience in electric distribution engineering or utility operations ✔ Knowledge of distribution line equipment and protective device settings ✔ Experience with power flow analysis and distribution systems ✔ Strong analytical and investigative skills ✔ Experience working with large datasets and predictive analytics Preferred Qualifications Experience with Smart Meter / AMI data Utility industry experience Exposure to machine learning or predictive modeling Experience collaborating with field and operations teams
Pay:
$75.00 - $80.00 per hour
