Electrical Engineer II Job Description The Electrical Engineer II is responsible for developing and maintaining electromechanical system designs under the guidance of a engineer or manager. This role involves leading the development of subsystems within larger design efforts or managing the complete electrical system development for smaller projects. Additionally, the Electrical Engineer II provides technical direction to junior engineers, designers, and drafters, supports internal and external customers, and performs other tasks as assigned. Responsibilities Translate requirements into a system architecture and detailed design. Design and integrate industrial automation and control systems, including PLC controls, motor controls, and general machine controls. Assess the feasibility of modifying existing equipment or designing new equipment, considering costs, time limitations, and other technical and economic factors. Validate designs through analysis and testing. Essential Skills Proficiency in electrical engineering and design, including schematic and control panel layout. Experience with power distribution, motor controllers, and VFDs. Expertise in industrial automation and control systems. Ability to direct and provide technical guidance to individual engineers or designers. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing and maintaining electromechanical system designs. Experience with 480VAC power generation and distribution, engine/generator controls, and electrical traction systems (DC & AC). Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
