What You'll Do As part of our collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical engineering solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing the schedule and technical quality of assigned engineering tasks. Building familiarity with client expectations, scope, budget, and timelines. Identifying and communicating scope and design changes promptly. Supporting startup activities and coordinating work with other team members and discipline leads.
Producing detailed deliverables such as:
Installation details, motor control center single lines, electric room layouts, motor control elementaries, connection diagrams, cable schedules, control panel layouts, grounding, lighting, and power plans.
What We're Looking For:
Electrical design experience in building electrical systems. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a multi-discipline team. Bring your curiosity, talent for multi-tasking and collaboration, and extreme organizational skills Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering At least 4 years of engineering experience in building electrical systems Experience with power system software (preferably ETAP) Knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) & IEEE standards Understanding of electrical power system equipment/components, such as switchgears, transformers, panelboards, generators, UPS, etc. Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams Ideally, you'll also have: At least one year of design experience for semiconductors, data centers, or mission critical facilities Medium Voltage (MV) design experience Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Team leadership and client interaction experience #afelectronics #electricalengineer #LI-MP1 Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
