The Role As an Electrical Project Designer, you will lead electrical design efforts for commercial, healthcare, education, infrastructure, and mission-critical facilities while supporting senior engineers on larger high-profile assignments. You'll contribute throughout the project lifecycle, from design and documentation through construction administration, helping deliver innovative and code-compliant electrical systems for a variety of building types. This role offers excellent exposure to electrical power distribution, lighting systems, BIM coordination, and multidisciplinary project delivery while providing opportunities to develop project management and leadership capabilities. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of electrical systems for building projects Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, drawings, and construction documentation Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and delivery activities Perform design reviews and implement quality control procedures Support bidding, construction administration, and field-related project activities Mentor and support less experienced team members What We're Looking For Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required EIT certification preferred 3+ years of experience within the building design consulting industry required Alternatively, candidates with an Associate Degree, BIM certification, or relevant technical qualification and 6+ years of industry experience will be considered Strong understanding of electrical building systems, power distribution, lighting systems, and electrical design principles Proficiency with Revit and BIM-based project delivery Experience using electrical design and analysis software such as SKM/PTW, EasyPower, AGi32, ElumTools, or similar platforms Knowledge of IES standards, NFPA codes, and industry design resources Experience with ComCheck, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe, and Microsoft Office Suite If you're looking for a role that combines technical challenge, project ownership, and long-term career growth within a highly respected engineering firm, we'd love to hear from you.
