Moog is hiring an Electrical Senior Design Engineer within the Aircraft Group to aid in the development of advanced electrohydraulic, electromechanical, and electropneumatic components and systems that become Moog's next‑generation products. In this highly technical role, you will apply seasoned engineering judgment to evaluate, adapt, and extend both standard and nonstandard design techniques. You will work independently and on teams to create new approaches to complex challenges, coordinate major engineering efforts, and guide cross‑functional engineering efforts. A significant portion of this role includes sustainment engineering for current platforms. As an Electrical Senior Design Engineer, you will: Support the development of electronic box architect for flight control computers and motor‑control electronics used in military aviation applications. Provide technical integration support and act as the main liaison for customers, programs, and vendors, managing requests and issues through the full cradle-to-grave process. Contribute technical concepts and ensure requirement compliance for proposals on new aircraft platforms. Aid in Development and Maturation of system architectures and requirements in collaboration with systems engineering and other disciplines. Create and maintain requirements for flight control electronics assemblies, ensuring designs meet cost, reliability, and schedule targets. Promote and facilitate Model‑Based Design methods, tools, and processes. Ensure designs meet EMI/EMC and all applicable environmental and electromagnetic requirements. Drive design to meet manufacturing, cost, reliability and schedule targets. Lead multi‑discipline engineering teams (mechanical, software, digital, analog, power, etc.) in electronics assembly development. Support requirements definition for electronics box test equipment as well as the test procedures to qualify said requirements. Assist in guiding and facilitating Validation & Verification (V&V) testing efforts. To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required). Minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience, with flexibility for fewer years if gained at Moog Proven design track record, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Depth of understanding and experience in the design, analysis, and development of aircraft actuation controllers.
It'd Be Great If You Also Had:
Experience with requirements flow‑down, actuator and sensor interfaces. Familiarity with industry standards such as RTCA/DO‑160, MIL‑STD‑461, MIL‑STD‑704, MIL‑STD‑810, RTCA/DO‑254. Experience with aerospace qualification and certification processes.

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $110,000.00-$140,000.00 Annually Salary Range Disclaimer The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
