Job Description The growth of our electrical condition assessment department has created the opportunity for an Electrical System Field Assessor. The candidate will be responsible for documenting existing electrical distribution systems for an entire healthcare campus including medium voltage systems. Assessments include short circuit, voltage drop, coordination, and arc flash analyses. This person can work remotely from home or one of our offices. This opportunity is great for someone who enjoys working in the field and likes to travel! Applicable experience includes Electrical Engineer/Designer, Journeymen or Master Electrician, Building or Plant Operator, and Electrical Equipment Manufacturer Technician. Site visit frequency is flexible and is typically 4 to 5 days in duration. This position is available to part-time and full-time candidates. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Gather and organize existing condition electrical drawings, previous electrical test reports, and previous electrical system evaluations in preparation for field documentation Coordinate with client to conduct multiple site visits to document the entire electrical distribution system Work systematically with the client's electrical staff and TMM's electrical subcontractor to open electrical gear to obtain electrical equipment, protective device, and conductor data Determine condition, remaining useful life, code deficiencies, safety concerns, and remedial measures to correct deficiencies with associated cost Provide a technical narrative to describe the existing electrical system and deficiencies with corrective actions Provide Excel spreadsheet of all deficiencies with associated cost to correct Interview campus electrical engineering and maintenance staff to determine electrical system's sequence of operation, history, and operational issues Work with TMM engineers to input field data into a computer model for evaluation Required Skills and Experience include but are not limited to the following: Minimum of 5 years of related work experience in electrical assessment, construction, operations, or design is required, 10 years plus is preferred Must have strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office required Experience with Bluebeam Revu valued but not required Prior cost estimating experience is valued but not required Must be available to travel out of state when required for up to 5 consecutive days Experience with proper PPE (provided by TMM) to obtain data from energized electrical equipment is valued but not required Certification in
NFPA 70E
is valued but not required Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position is very competitive and varies based on part-time or full-time positions and experience level.
