Job Description

We don't settle until we give our best and know that we're making a difference. We're seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our Latham, New York team. In this role, you'll contribute to projects that power the core operations of our clients, including cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing and advanced research facilities. As part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, you'll help design and optimize control systems for a variety of processes, working closely with architects, engineers, and designers to deliver complete, world-class solutions for new facilities. Your responsibilities will include developing P&IDs, sizing valves, specifying instrumentation, panel design, I/O assignments documenting and modeling design information while ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards. Our group is recognized as one of the leading design teams in the design of semiconductor facilities, delivering innovative solutions that enable the next generation of technology. This position offers hands-on experience and expert mentorship to help you grow your technical skills and understanding of process control, instrumentation, and automation. At least 8 years of work experience designing Instrumentation and Control Systems Working knowledge of
PLC, PAC, DDC, DCS
systems Ability to work onsite (hybrid) in Latham, NY Ideally, you'll also have: Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Passion for buildings and construction afelectronics #LI-MP1 Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
