As we continue to support major capital investment programmes across Ireland, we're seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to play a key role in shaping complex, multi disciplinary project delivery for our Life Sciences clients. About the Role As a senior member of our Ireland based Life Sciences engineering team, you will lead electrical design delivery for large scale Bio Pharma, advanced manufacturing and technology projects. You'll work within a highly interactive, multi discipline environment, collaborating closely with process, mechanical, architectural and structural teams to deliver world class facilities for industry leading clients. Projects span feasibility studies, concept and detailed design, construction documentation, and site based engineering support. You'll bring strong technical leadership, a commitment to quality, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced client environment. What You Will Do Lead electrical design delivery across complex Life Sciences and industrial projects, ensuring technical accuracy and quality. Organise, assign and oversee engineering and design tasks to produce high quality construction documentation. Manage scope, budget and schedule to meet project commitments. Collaborate in real time with multi discipline teams to develop coordinated, constructible designs. Analyse and design complex building systems, including: Medium and low voltage power systems Lighting, grounding and process heating systems Standby generator and UPS systems for critical power Lead site selection and due diligence activities. Conduct field inspections and observe construction activities. Review contractor submittals for compliance with design intent. Provide mentoring and technical guidance to electrical engineers and designers. Key Activities Creation and modification of specifications, drawings, datasheets and schedules. Specification, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of: MV & LV switchgear Intelligent and conventional MCCs VSDs, transformers, UPS systems, generators, PFC equipment MV and LV power system design for industrial and Life Sciences facilities. Execution of projects within a multi discipline 3D design environment. Power systems analysis, including short circuit calculations and protection coordination. Electrical design to IS, EN and IEC standards, including: Power, lighting, cabling and containment Data ICT structured wiring Fire alarm, earthing and lightning protection Coordination with process, piping, mechanical and 3D modelling workflows. Here's what you'll need Degree or master's in electrical engineering; Chartered status an advantage. Minimum 12 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer. Strong knowledge building codes and specialty regulations. Deep understanding of IS10101 Wiring Regulations, IEC and EN standards. Proven experience delivering electrical engineering design to budget, schedule and quality requirements. Experience working on large, multi disciplinary, schedule driven projects.
