We specialize in energy audits, MEPFP design, commissioning and LEED design. Many of our continuing clients are in key markets, including hospitals, universities, hospitality, airports, and government facilities. Our highly technical projects include boiler plants, distributed generation, HVAC renovations, comprehensive lighting upgrades, and airport MEP upgrades. Guth DeConzo Engineers is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical or Electrical engineer with experience in the design/construction management, inspections and report creation. The candidate for this position must have a working knowledge and experience with various types of MEP systems. The main responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: Conduct inspections required/noted on MEP drawings. Prepare inspection reports, respond and submit RFIs. Prepare AutoCAD and Revit drawings if needed. Assist engineers with design calculations and sizing MEP systems. Review documents for coordination and walkthrough meetings. Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and architects.
Qualifications & Education Requirements:
A baccalaureate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited 4-year institution. Minimum of 3 years of professional field experience on US-based projects. Knowledge of AutoCAD. EIT or desire to obtain PE license. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite Strong Analytical and quantitative skills, and a demonstrated capability for analysis and strategic thinking. Strong initiative—the willingness and ability to succeed in a collaborative, team-based environment. Ability to multi-task with multiple projects in order to meet strict deadlines. Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way, both verbally and in writing.
