The Shipboard Effectors Department is currently searching for a Principal Electrical Test Engineer to work on a multi-discipline team to support the production of Shipboard Effectors products and subsystems located in Louisville, KY. This Principal Test Engineer position is focused on providing on-site factory support of test systems to support weapon system product development and deliveries. The selected candidate will troubleshoot and diagnose problems or recommend improvements to our test equipment and work with a multidisciplined team to implement the solutions in an integrated development environment specified by the factory solutions and the TEE organization. This is an onsite role with regular support required in a production facility. What You Will Do Lead the troubleshoot of hardware and test equipment instrumentation Engage with suppliers for hardware/software development, design reviews, qualification activities, and factory acceptance tests Prioritize and handle several engineering tasks concurrently Interact and engage with Functional, Engineering, Operations PTEs, and Program leaders to support factory priorities Provide status and technical updates to program management, chief engineers, customers, and other key stakeholders Maintain an IPT project tracking system Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of eight (8) years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and five (5) years of relevant experience The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
