We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our growing team and support our portfolio of anaerobic digestion facilities across the United States. In this role, you will partner closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to identify, design, and implement projects that improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and overall plant performance. From capital improvement projects to process optimization initiatives, you'll play a key role in helping us advance renewable energy production while contributing to a more sustainable future. What You'll Do As a Project Engineer, you will lead improvement initiatives from concept through completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Lead plant-level improvement projects across our U.S. anaerobic digestion facilities Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to define project scope and objectives Develop and maintain prioritized project lists for multiple facilities Prepare project budgets and track expenditures throughout project lifecycles Coordinate and manage contractors for smaller-scale projects Oversee project implementation, commissioning, and closeout activities Evaluate, design, and implement equipment modifications and upgrades to improve productivity, safety, and reliability Support Environmental, Health & Safety, Operations, Maintenance, and Administration teams by providing engineering expertise and problem-solving support Develop reports and analyze operational and project performance data Lead Management of Change (MOC) processes when required Conduct technical and economic analyses to support project justification and decision-making Identify, test, and evaluate opportunities for process and production improvements Troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering and operational challenges Support additional projects and initiatives as needed What You Bring Education Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline Experience 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience Experience working within continuous process manufacturing or industrial operations environments Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and their practical application Knowledge of process plant operations and production systems Familiarity with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs and best practices Understanding of process safety principles is considered an asset Experience with anaerobic digestion, biogas, renewable natural gas (RNG), or related renewable energy systems is preferred Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent project planning, organization, and execution skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences Effective relationship-building and collaboration skills High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution capabilities Professional judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information Positive, team-oriented attitude with a continuous improvement mindset Why Join Us?
