The Senior Electrical Design Engineer serves as the subject matter expert in the hardware design and development of wireless charging systems for automotive applications, working alongside hardware, software, and systems engineering colleagues. The position is hybrid and relocation assistance is available for candidates outside the area. Schedule Full-time, hybrid schedule. Some travel is required for technical design reviews, customer meetings, and technology roadmap presentations at client sites. Compensation $100,000 to $130,000 per year, plus benefits. What You'll Do The Senior Electrical Design Engineer leads the design and development of wireless charging hardware for automotive connectivity applications. This includes designing electrical systems using schematic capture tools and CAD platforms, developing and optimizing wireless power transfer (WPT) systems including transmitter and receiver coils, power electronics, and control circuits, and utilizing simulation and modeling tools to analyze and refine system performance. The engineer works closely with software development and systems integration colleagues to ensure seamless hardware integration across wireless charging platforms. A core part of this role involves becoming the team's deep technical resource on next-generation Qi standards and evolving wireless charging protocols. This means actively monitoring supplier technology roadmaps, engaging with technology partners across silicon, architecture, and equipment, and building alliances that support the company's wireless charging roadmap. The engineer participates in industry organizations such as the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) and serves on relevant committees and councils. The engineer also supports the commercial side of the business by developing technical demonstrations for the sales team and presenting technology roadmaps to prospective customers. This includes communicating complex technical content clearly to both engineering and non-technical audiences. Identifying and implementing strategies to reduce charging time, improve power transfer efficiency, and advance the company's competitive position in automotive wireless charging are ongoing priorities. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical or electronic design Strong fundamentals in both analog and digital design with a focus on power electronics Experience with circuit-level simulation in EE simulation platforms Experience with schematic capture tools and CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, or equivalent) Solid background in modeling, data collection, data analysis, and statistical analysis tools Familiarity with requirements management tools and automotive engineering standards Knowledge of
