Job Description
Summary:
- Reporting to the I&C Department Manager, the candidate will serve as the I&C Lead Engineer, overseeing all I&C engineering and design activities for assigned projects.
- The candidate will have experience working with and managing both domestic and international teams, providing mentorship and training to support successful project delivery.
- The I&C Lead Engineer will ensure compliance with client requirements, Jacobs standards, and applicable industry regulations on assigned projects.
- The candidate will develop project scopes of work, prepare manhour estimates, create I&C Execution Plans, and define the resources required for successful project execution. They will function as the I&C lead throughout all project phases, as needed.
- The Lead I&C Engineer will identify staffing needs and coordinate with the Department Manager to secure appropriate resources.
- Perform tiered reviews of project deliverables to ensure accuracy, adherence to codes, specifications, design criteria, and sound engineering practices.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, with the ability to train, drive change, and implement improvements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio) and familiarity with SmartPlant, Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu is required. Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor's in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 15 years' experience as Control Systems Engineer
- Experience in Bio Pharma, Pharmaceutical & Lab process Instrumentation and controls
- Knowledge of International codes like ASME BPE, Dairy, Hygienic systems (Process, water system, Clean steam etc)
- Knowledgeable of Life Science Industry Automation, DCS and PLC control systems, and development of P&ID's, control system architectures and associated design deliverables and field instrumentation
- Must be able to travel to client's facilities for presentations, site surveys and field assignments Ideally, you'll also have:
- PE Registration preferred
- Masters in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, but not required
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and an ability work in a collaborative environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
- Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
