$139,657.50 to $171,000.00 perYear Duties:
Lead the design and development of electrical components, sub-systems, and/or systems for medical devices. Mentor others on advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts. Conduct, design, and select advanced prototyping and testing to drive system level characterization and test. Lead and guide in the root cause analysis and correction of complex product design issues. Conduct technology exploration and influence application in the business through research and cross-functional partnerships. Translate users need to design inputs/specifications and produce complex system level architecture independently. Develop several invention disclosures, patents or trade secrets. Independently make design tradeoff decisions while considering impact and needs of functional partners. Contribute to competitive and market strategy. Enhance product development and enhance procedural capability. Contribute to and execute customer-facing activities including voice of customer and customer centric design in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. Manage and forecast project budget for applicable activities. Mentor others as a business unit expert on the usage of industry standards, including design requirements and test strategies per applicable regulations. Lead others to create and refine engineering documentation, including the Design History file and regulatory content including 510k submission. Contribute to R D procedures and development of industry standards working closely with cross-functional business units. Work cooperatively with R D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and Project Management to ensure project success, both leading and influencing other leaders on the team. Identify and lead the creation of or improvements to procedures, policies, processes, systems, and technology required. Execute and lead segments of complex product development to advance projects through the design /development/launch process. Contribute to complex product development through release and lead one technical area of expertise. Hybrid schedule - 3 days in office and 2 days remote. Position requires 15% domestic travel.Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and six (6) years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or related position. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and four (4) years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or related position.Position requires:
experience analyzing electrical components for robustness of design, including consideration of Monte Carlo, spice simulation, and other methods of characterization for analog and digital circuits; experience designing manufacturing and testing manufacturing methods; experience in the creation and closure management resulting from failure mode analysis frameworks, such as DFMEA. Analyze risk management models and the ways in which to apply risk management principles in a quantitative way to drive test criteria and decision making; experience planning and execution of different root cause methodologies including fishbone or 8D; experience interpreting, analyzing and testing electrical designs; experience identifying functions and architectural elements to navigate systems effectively; experience working in product life cycles for design, launch and maintenance; experience using CAD and/or other circuit design and analysis tools to design schematics; and, experience translating project learning and experiences into playbooks and best practice guides for engineers.To apply:
