NSC Staffing is seeking an experienced Senior Maritime Electrical Manager for an exciting opportunity supporting new construction and vessel repair projects in a fast-paced shipyard environment. We are looking for candidates with strong experience leading electrical engineering teams, managing shipboard electrical system design, and supporting production and project execution within the marine industry. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of shipboard electrical systems, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional coordination while providing technical leadership and mentorship to engineering personnel. Essential Job Functions - Senior Maritime Electrical Manager As a Senior Maritime Electrical Manager, you will be responsible for: ⦁ Leading the design, integration, and delivery of shipboard electrical systems for new construction and vessel repair projects ⦁ Developing, reviewing, and approving electrical drawings, schematics, layouts, and engineering documentation ⦁ Supervising and mentoring electrical engineers and designers while assigning priorities and managing project deliverables ⦁ Coordinating with naval architects, mechanical engineers, project managers, and production teams to ensure successful system integration ⦁ Supporting project planning, scheduling, and progress reviews to ensure milestones are achieved ⦁ Ensuring compliance with ABS, USCG, and applicable marine industry standards and regulations ⦁ Overseeing quality assurance activities and resolving technical issues during construction and commissioning ⦁ Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing engineering best practices ⦁ Managing multiple projects while maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation ⦁ Supporting shipyard operations and maintaining communication with internal departments, customers, and vendors Qualifications and Experience ⦁ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience required ⦁ Minimum 5-7 years of maritime or shipyard electrical engineering experience required ⦁ Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred ⦁ Strong knowledge of shipboard electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, automation, and communication systems ⦁ Experience interpreting and applying ABS and U.S. Coast Guard rules and regulations ⦁ Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and familiarity with ShipConstructor or similar software preferred ⦁ Experience with PLC programming, power management systems, and advanced technology integration preferred ⦁ Familiarity with shipyard production workflows and safety procedures ⦁ Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills ⦁ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Physical Requirements ⦁ Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying shipyard environments ⦁ Ability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as required ⦁ Ability to work at heights and perform overhead work when necessary ⦁ Ability to lift and carry tools or equipment up to 75 pounds ⦁ Must be capable of wearing required PPE including respirators, hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and other protective equipment Why NSC Staffing?
